Caregivers Night Out launches in Chicago

On June 26th, Fund Mental Healthcare will host its first-ever "Caregivers Night Out" at The Villa Toscana in the Northalsted neighborhood of Chicago. The event is born from a simple question: who cares for the caregivers?

Caregivers Night Out is designed to offer a space of ease, levity, and connection for those who spend so much of their lives tending to others. Whether caring for parents, siblings, partners, friends, or patients, these individuals often operate in the background—quietly, persistently, and without recognition.

Guests will arrive just as the sun begins to set, each welcomed with light refreshments, a place to sit, and the freedom to just be. The space will be alive with conversation, stretching from the communal to the heartfelt. Some may share stories of navigating the healthcare system for loved ones. Others may speak candidly about burnout, about the loneliness that can accompany being the one everyone leans on. But no one will stay heavy for long. There’s something unspoken but powerful about being among people who simply get it.

The evening is intentionally kept to a modest size to allow for real conversation and real connection. There will be no programming, no speeches, no agenda. Just refreshments, and the kind of presence that makes you feel human again.

It isn’t therapy, but it is therapeutic.

Fund Mental Healthcare plans to make Caregivers Night Out a recurring event, offering a soft landing spot for those doing the hard, often invisible work of care. In a world that rarely pauses for those in caregiving roles, we want to create a moment that does.

If you or someone you know is a caregiver in the Chicago area, visit www.fundmentalhealthcare.com to learn more and sign up for the next gathering. We’d love to have you there.
